This Privacy Policy explains how Pricebit ("Pricebit", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use https://pricebit.ai (the "Site"). We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. The kinds of personal information we collect

Depending on your interactions with the Site, we may collect:

• Account and login information: email address, name (if provided), and identity data provided via authentication (e.g., Google OAuth) such as profile name and avatar URL. For passwordless logins, we process your email to send a magic link.
• Usage and analytics data: pages viewed, features used (e.g., predictions explored), timestamps, referral source, device and browser information, and IP address. We may use Google Tag Manager and similar tools to help operate or improve the Site.
• Transaction and interaction data: clicks on affiliate links and related information necessary to monitor affiliate performance. We do not receive your payment card details from affiliates.
• Support communications: content of messages you send to us (e.g., feedback, requests).
• Inferred data: aggregated or derived information about engagement with Pricebit features (e.g., timeframes selected).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (e.g., health, biometric, or government identifiers). Please do not submit such information to us. If you do, we will handle it in accordance with the APPs.

2. How we collect personal information

• Directly from you: when you create an account, sign in, request a magic link, contact support, or use interactive features.
• Automatically: via cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that log usage, performance and device context.
• From third parties: identity providers (e.g., Google) when you use OAuth; service providers that support our Site (e.g., hosting, analytics).

3. Purposes for which we collect, use and disclose personal information

• Provide, operate and secure the Site, including login, session management and account administration.
• Deliver and improve AI-generated price predictions and related features (e.g., gated 5-year estimates for logged-in users).
• Measure engagement and performance, diagnose issues, and develop new features.
• Communicate with you, including account/service messages and responding to enquiries.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, prevent misuse, abuse or fraud.
• Monitor affiliate performance and partnerships.

4. Logging in and authentication

When you log in, we may authenticate via Google OAuth or send a passwordless magic link to your email. If you use Google OAuth, we may receive your email, display name and profile image URL from Google to set up your Pricebit account. For email-based login, we process your email address to send the magic link. Authentication is provided by our identity service provider(s).

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect certain Site features. For more information, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Disclosing personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

• Service providers and partners that help us operate the Site (e.g., hosting, authentication, analytics, queue processing, cloud functions, and content delivery). Examples include our authentication provider, hosting provider, queue/Redis provider, and cloud task runner.
• Professional advisors (e.g., legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
• Regulators, law enforcement, or as required by law where we are compelled or permitted to do so.
• Other third parties with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law.

7. Overseas disclosure (APP 8)

Our service providers may process and store personal information in Australia and other countries, which may include (but are not limited to) the United States, member states of the European Union, Singapore, and other jurisdictions where our vendors maintain infrastructure. Where reasonably practicable, we take steps to ensure that overseas recipients do not breach the APPs in relation to your information.

8. Storage and security

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will assess and, where required, notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. Access and correction (APPs 12–13)

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request correction if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To do so, contact us at support@pricebit.ai. We will respond within a reasonable period and may ask you to verify your identity. In certain circumstances permitted by law, we may refuse access or correction; if so, we will provide written reasons and information on how to complain.

10. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to operate the Site and fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. We may de-identify or aggregate data for analytics and product improvement. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

11. Marketing communications

If we send you marketing communications, you may opt out at any time by following the instructions in the communication or contacting us atsupport@pricebit.ai. Service and transactional messages (e.g., login and account notices) will continue as necessary.

12. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to third-party websites or services (including affiliates). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties.

13. Children

The Site is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

14. Complaints (APP 1.2 and 1.4)
